Media Elements

Media Language:

A key element in Media is Language, perhaps the most important one since with Media Language we are able to analyze and breakdown many film scenes and find many hidden references and meanings in the film. Media Language also helps us to depict different meanings in our own project. For example A black dress would represent sadness, despair, anxiety and stress.

Representation:

Representation is a key element in media as it influences our connection and message to the audience. Representation is of many different social groups with their own or shared interests. Each social group is portrayed in a stereotypical and ideological how ever they can be in a accurate as well perspective. For example Teenagers are shown as very annoying and disrespectful towards their parents.

Audience:

Audience are the people who consume media, without an Audience there would be no media. Each type of media is targeted towards a different type of Audience. An Audience reacts to the media and in return the producers earn money. Each product tries its best to attract the Audience so that it can gain there loyalty and produce more media. For example Video Games are targeted towards Children and Teenagers.
