Research on the Genre

I did some research on the Psychological-Thriller genre and how it portrays the narrative in order to induce the enigma and suspense in such a way that the audience can feel the fear and mystery of the film. Most films feature the protagonist and the antagonist to be driven by some sort of an obsession which elevates them to do the things they do. The main point of psychological thrillers is to create a sense of suspense, mystery, anxiety and create confusion in order to gain the attraction of the viewer. Psychological thriller films are targeted towards older audiences since the complex emotions won't be understood as much by younger audiences.
